  • publishes a glossary of legally accepted definitions of words, phrases and terms used in the safety and rescue industry

  • delivers professional audit and accreditation of member training organizations

  • delivers objective, independent, performance-based Professional Certification through its accredited membership

  • researches, develops, tests, implements and maintains factual, applied, meaningful and defensible Standards and protocols, including the Risk Management Matrix™

  • produces discussion and policy papers

  • provides court recognized subject matter expert support for members and the courts

  • provides standardized risk management auditing services

  • provides an advocacy forum for instructors

  • provides a forum for the public who are at risk and have no voice
