ACCREDITED TRAINING ORGANIZATION

  • Corporations that provide direct training to rescue and high risk operations staff and instructors.

  • Certification issuing accredited members must meet the IRIA insurance requirements, training standards and be a member in good standing.

  • Accreditation approval will require additional costs to review, evaluate, audit and approve course structure to ensure that it meets the IRIA standards. These costs will vary for each company based on their current standards and location. A follow-up audit will be required to move from probationary accreditation to full membership.

  • Fee structure allows for all sizes of training providers to participate.

  • Submission of successful student names and certification levels to IRIA for one year membership.

  • Assignment of ATO specific numbering system for tracking all IRIA certified students.

Level I Accredited Training Organization (up to 200 students annually)

Application Fee: $750 Can

Annual Fee: $500 Can

Student Registration Fee: $20 Can. per student

  • includes up to 10 Certified Corporate Instructor memberships
  • includes one year certified individual membership for students
  • allows training of up to 200 students per year.

Level II Accredited Training Organization (over 200 students annually)

Application Fee: $1000 Can

Annual Fee: $750 Can

Student Registration Fee: $15 Can. per student.

  • includes up to 25 Certified Corporate Instructor memberships
  • includes one year certified individual membership for students
  • unlimited number of students per year.

Audit Fees

Technical on-site audits range from 1 to 3 days at $500 per day for the auditor plus associated travel and accommodation costs. Travel costs may be shared between various IRIA members in similar locations in order to reduce costs.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER

Individual Certified Member

  • $25 Can annually
  • first year is included when trained by Accredited Training Organization.
  • access to web-based information, personal log books, e-mail updates.

Individual Certified Instructor

  • $100 Can annually
  • member category for free-lance instructors not associated full-time with a Accredited Training Organization, allowing the instructor to work for a number of ATO’s.
